Former Exeter Creative Writing PhD student Ruth Gilligan has won the prestigious Ondaatje Prize for her novel Butchers which she wrote for her thesis.

Cherie Jones - shortlisted for The Women’s Prize for Fiction 2020
Cherie Jones, an Exeter Creative Writing student, was shortlisted for The Women’s Prize for Fiction 2021 for her novel, How The One-Armed Sister Sweeps Her House.
